A Note From The Nurse
NursePlease remember that communication is very important, call the school office anytime your child will not be at school. Update the school nurse as necessary with any medical conditions/illness/medication changes for your child. Listed below are some guidelines you need to know in determining whether you should keep your child home from school.

1. Oral temperature of 100.0 or higher. Keep your child home until they have been fever free 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication.
2. Severe itching of the body or scalp, or scratching of the scalp.
3. Eyes that are red, swollen, painful and matted together.
4. Vomiting and/or diarrhea. Keep your child home until they have been vomiting/diarrhea free for 24 hours with the use of medication.
5.Unusual spots or rashes accompanied by fever or behavior changes indicating illness.

If your child is diagnosed with any of the following contagious conditions listed below please notify the school/school nurse as soon as possible.

     Chicken Pox            Mumps        Diphtheria

A child with any of these symptoms or diseases may cause other
children to get sick. If all parents keep sick children at home, everybody's child will stay healthier.
