Vocabulary words for the 5th six weeks: 
Week 3:
antics--funny or silly actions 
imitate--to copy someone or something
lagoon--a small area of shallow water 
original--the first of its kind

Week 4:
prevent--to keep an event from happening
available--ready to be used
estimate--to make a guess based on facts 
cozy--something that feels warm, comfortable, and snug 

Week 5:
clumsy--someone or something that moves in an awkward or ungraceful way
shelter--a safe place to live 
donate--to give your time, money, or things to help others 
swarm--a large number of insects, animals, or people who move together as a group

Week 6:
tempting--something hard to resist
accomplishment--something done successfully 
refuse--to say no to something 
unusual--something strange or different



Vocabulary words for the 4th six weeks:  
Week 1:  
occupation--a person's job or career 
famished--very,very hungry
consent--permission to do something 
hustle--to move very quickly with a lot of energy

Week 2:
villain--an evil character in a story, movie, or play 
dependable--someone or something that you can count on 
journey--a very long trip or adventure
attempt--to try to do something 

Week 3:
forbid--to tell someone that they cannot do something 
portion--a part or a piece of something 
vacant--empty
huddle--when people or animals crowd together 

Week 4:
ceremony--an event that marks a special occasion 
definite--something that is sure or certain 
ingredients--the items that you put together to make something else
passenger--a person or thing that rides in a vehicle that is driven by another

Week 5: 
abandon--to leave something or give it up forever
combine--to put two or more things together 
harmless--not able to hurt anything, safe
habit--something that you usually do 

Week 6: 
warning--a message that alerts you that something bad is about to happen
exchange--when someone gives something to you and you give them something back 
contagious--something easily spread or passed to other people
artificial--something that is not real or natural

Week 1:  abbreviated--the shortened form of a word 
bargain--something that costs less than its normal price 
                emotion--a feeling
                hardy--able to survive in hard circumstances 

Week 2:  gleam--to shine or give off light
               harmony--to work in complete cooperation with others 
               ideal--something that is just perfect 
               jovial--in a good mood, happy

Week 3:  loaf--to be lazy and lay around doing nothing
                nominate--to suggest that someone would be right for a job or award
                occupy--to live in a place 
                queasy--to feel sick at your stomach 

Week 4:  tedious--boring and repetitive
                advertise--to give information about something for sale
                convince--to make someone think the way that you do 
                interview--to ask someone questions to find out information 

Week 5:  hideous--ugly and horrible to look at 
               tremble--to shake with excitement, fear, or cold 
               volume--the loudness of a noise or sound 
               complicated--has many parts or hard to understand 

Week 6:  predict--to say what you think will happen in the future
                shipshape--clean, neat, and in order 
               agony--extreme pain 
               chitchat--to talk about everyday, unimportant things

Week 1:  flimsy--something that is weak and lightweight
               grant--when you allow a person to have something
               talented--having the natural ability to do something well
               opinion--what you think about something
Week 2:  obnoxious--something or someone who is disagreeable and unpleasant
               scholar--a person who studies and learns a lot
               vigorous--something that is strong, active and full of energy
               etiquette--the rules of polite behavior
Week 3:  disturb--when you bother, annoy, or interrupt someone
                miniature--something that is smaller than its usual size
                bizarre--something that looks or acts very odd or strange
                companion--someone or something that keeps someone company
Week 4:   trio--a group of three
                retrieve--when you get something back
                alert--wide awake and ready to act quickly
                hodgepodge--a disorderly, jumbled mess of things
Week 5:   affection--feelings of love and caring
                scarce--something that is hard to get or find
                inhabit--you inhabit the place where you live
                identical--things that are exactly alike
Week 6:  participate--to take part in something
               decay-to become rotten
               modern--something that is from recent times
               grip--to hold something very tightly

Week 4:  topple--to fall over 
              zany--a person who behaves in a silly or foolish way
              putrid--something that is rotten and smells awful
              echo--a sound that repeats because it bounces off of a hard surface

Week 5:  infant--a baby
              ability--a skill or talent that you have
              dynamo--an active person with lots of energy and enthusiasm 
              trivial--something that has little importance or value

Week 6:   camouflage--when colors and patterns are used to hide people, animals, or  things 
               hue--a color or a shade of a color
               wince--when you pull back or make a face in fear, pain, or dislike
               compromise--when both sides give in a little to settle a disagreement
